From making dinner to making a difference…What do I want to leave as my legacy? I know that I have taught my children to be compassionate for others. I try to live my life being authentic. I try to be open and to listen to other points of views. I am curious about the way other people think. I know that people want to be seen and to be heard. I try to pass along pearls of wisdom that do not come from me but that I have picked up along the way.
Being a mortgage broker sounds like it is all about the money. True, it is a way to make a living but it is also a way to help others. That is definitely the part I like best about my job. I know I do make a small difference by being a well-seasoned loan officer that my clients can trust. I tell my clients that they do not have time to learn all there is to know about loans. They need to pick a person to work with that they can trust. The process is sometimes brutal. It seems to never end. The requests for documentation seem limitless.
I try to do most of the footwork behind the scenes, but I can’t do it alone. We are partners in dealing with the process.

So “Because I’m a woman, I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan and …..” We have come a long way. I can have a job that makes money, allows me to be myself and gives me the flexibility to be there for my kids and husband.
It is an excellent time to refinance and purchase. The rate is determined by numerous factors. Some of them are the loan amount, the loan to value, the credit score, the length of the lock, and the type of property. So when you hear a friend say I got X%, you have to keep in mind that you do not know their particulars and you do not know if they paid an origination fee or closing costs.
